Tantilla Art accepts select commissions for original wildlife and natural-history artwork. Projects may feature particular species, individual animals, habitats, ecological relationships, or conservation themes.

Michael E. Dorcas, Ph.D., also considers scientific illustration projects for books, journal articles, research reports, educational materials, exhibits, and other scientific or natural-history publications. His background as a biologist, herpetologist, author, and scientific researcher allows him to combine artistic detail with close attention to anatomy, behavior, ecology, and biological accuracy.

Commissioned work is created primarily in graphite or colored pencil. Each project is evaluated individually based on subject matter, reference materials, dimensions, level of detail, intended use, reproduction rights, timeline, and scope.
